Glasgow Pixillated

Glasgow Pixillated

A dynamic D fie foe film, featuring pixillated young performers against a backdrop of iconic Glasgow architecture and landscapes. The beautiful technique of 'pixillation’, (animation of the human form), was made famous by Scottish-born Norman McLaren in the 1950s. It's a style halfway between drama and stop-frame animation, which is then combined with sequences of time-lapse and slow-motion to express certain moods. The film features a backdrop of selected Glasgow architecture and has been developed with a group of diverse young performers and filmmakers.

The film will be presented throughout the Festival in George Square.

Supported by Glasgow Film Theatre.
